Festival del Cortometraggio Althedame

- Regolamento -

Art. 1
L’Associazione Althedame di Este indice la seconda edizione del "Festival del Cortometraggio Althedame", con lo scopo di valorizzare il cinema breve, come forma di espressione artistica di autori nazionali e internazionali.

Art. 2
I cortometraggi che la Direzione Artistica, a suo insindacabile giudizio, selezionerà come vincitori ai sensi dell'Art. 12 del presente bando, saranno proiettati nell'ambito della cerimonia di premiazione, che avverrà in una serata da definire nel mese di marzo 2018. Tutti gli autori ammessi al Festival riceveranno per tempo notifica via e-mail circa il luogo e la data esatta in cui sarà programmata la proiezione della loro opera.

Art. 3
Per la selezione sono ammesse opere a tema libero, di registi residenti in qualsiasi Paese del mondo, purché realizzate in lingua italiana, o comunque con sottotitoli in italiano o in inglese. I lavori possono essere stati realizzati con qualsiasi supporto video, purché per la selezione venga fornito il file in formato MP4, oppure MOV, o eventualmente su supporto DVD. La durata di ogni cortometraggio, titoli di testa e di coda inclusi, non deve superare i 20 minuti. Ogni autore può iscrivere fino ad un massimo di due opere, anche non inedite, purché realizzate dopo il 1 gennaio 2014 e risultino conformi a tutti i requisiti richiesti dal presente regolamento.

Art. 4
Tutte le opere finaliste potranno concorrere ai premi di cui all'Art. 12.

Art. 5
Per partecipare al Festival è necessario inviare il file del cortometraggio mediante wetransfer all'indirizzo luca7mo@gmail.com , oppure indicando link e password per poterlo scaricare, o se si preferisce su supporto DVD standard PAL; in tutti i casi è necessario anticipare, sempre all'indirizzo email luca7mo@gmail.com, la scheda di iscrizione allegata a questo bando, debitamente compilata in tutte le sue parti in stampatello e firmata, più la foto del regista, la sua bio-filmografia in un file formato Word, e nr. 3 foto significative del cortometraggio.

Art. 6
Se si sceglie di fornire le proprie opere su supporto DVD, le stesse dovranno essere spedite per posta ordinaria al seguente indirizzo:

Si prega di riportare sul pacco l’indicazione “Senza valore commerciale, per soli scopi culturali”.

Art. 7
Le iscrizioni si chiuderanno il 20/12/2017, data entro la quale dovranno pervenire i plichi, indipendentemente dal timbro postale. Le spese di spedizione delle opere sono a carico dei proponenti.

Art. 8
Tutto il materiale presentato non sarà restituito, ma sarà acquisito dall’archivio della direzione organizzativa,
che potrà utilizzarlo gratuitamente e a tempo illimitato, per proiezioni a carattere promozionale e/o culturale
senza alcun fine di lucro.

Art. 9
L’organizzazione non risponde del danno, furto o smarrimento che le opere dovessero subire sia durante, che dopo il recapito.

Art. 10
L’iscrizione al "Festival del Cortometraggio Althedame"è gratuita.

Art. 11
L’autore, inviando le proprie opere, dichiara di essere titolare di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione delle stesse e che i contenuti non violano le leggi vigenti, né presentano elementi di carattere diffamatorio di alcun genere. In ogni caso, l’autore solleva l’organizzazione del "Festival del Cortometraggio Althedame" da ogni responsabilità, per i contenuti dei cortometraggi proiettati in pubblico.

Art. 12
La giuria assegnerà i seguenti premi:
- Miglior Cortometraggio;
- Premio Speciale della Giura, per l'opera meglio ispirata al tema "La Natura incontra l'Arte".
- Miglior Regia;
- Miglior Sceneggiatura;
- Miglior Fotografia;
- Miglior Attore protagonista;
- Miglior Attrice protagonista;

Inoltre la giuria potrà assegnare, a suo insindacabile giudizio, eventuali menzioni speciali per particolari contributi tecnici e/o artistici.
Tutti i premi consisteranno in una targa personalizzata.

Art. 13
Le decisioni del comitato di selezione e della giuria del concorso sono insindacabili. L’organizzazione avrà
inoltre pieno potere decisionale, per quanto non previsto dal presente regolamento.

Althedame Short Film Festival

Art. 1
The Althedame Association in Este announces the second edition of the “Althedame Short Film Festival”, aimed at promoting short films, in the form of art expression by domestic and international artists.

Art. 2
The short films that the Art Directory will, with its unquestionable judgement, choose the winners in accordance with the Art.12 of this announcement, will be shown at the awards ceremony, which will take place on a night to be confirmed, in March 2018. The authors taking part in the Festival will receive an e-mail of notification in advance, regarding the exact date and time the screening of their short film is scheduled.

Art. 3
Free-themed works are admitted for the selection process, from candidates resident in any country in the world, provided they are in Italian, or at least with Italian or English subtitles. Works can be made with any type of video, provided files are submitted in MP4, MOV or DVD format. The running time of each short film, opening and end credits, must not be over 20 minutes. Each author can submit up to two works, including previously published ones, provided they were made after the 1st of January 2014 and meet all the criteria in the present announcement.

Art. 4
All finalist works will be eligible for the awards provided for in Art. 12.

Art. 5
In order to join in the festival, it is necessary to send the file containing the short film through wetransfer to luca7mo@gmail.com, otherwise providing link and password to download the file, or on DVD standard PAL if preferred. In all cases, it is necessary to send pre-emptively, again to the email address luca7mo@gmail.com, the registration form that is attached to this announcement, it has to be properly completed in all its parts using block letters and it has to be signed. In addition to this the candidate has to send his own picture, his biography in a Word file, and 3 pictures representing the short film.

Be the works provided in DVD format, they should be sent by standard post to the following address:

Candidates are kindly asked to write “Goods of no commercial value, for cultural ends only”

Art. 7
Entries will close on 20/12/2017, date by which the inclusions must be received, regardless of the post mark. Shipping costs are carriage paid by the candidates.

Art. 8
All the works provided will not be returned, it will be stored by the organisational management instead, which will be able to use the files indefinitely and for free, for non-profit promotional and/or cultural showings.

Art. 9
The organisation is not responsible for any damage, theft or loss that may occur, during or after the works have been delivered.

Art. 10
Entering the “Althedame Short Film Festival” is free.

Art. 11
By sending his/her work, the author declares to be in possession of all the rights to use them and that the contents do not violate relevant laws or have any defamatory elements of any kind. In any case, the author discharges the organisational management of the “Althedame Short Film Festival” from any liability arising from the content of short films showed in public.

Art. 12
The jury will award the following:
-Best Short Film
-The Jury's Special Award, for the work best inspired by the theme: “Nature meets Art”
-Best Director
-Best Screenplay
-Best Picture
-Best Actor
-Best Actress

Moreover, the Jury will be able to award, to its discretion, further special mentions for particular technical and/or artistic contributions.

Art. 13
The Selection Committee and the Jury's decision are not questionable. The organisational management will also have full decision-making power, insofar as this regulation does not provide.
